After receiving testimony from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aclu-nj.org\/files\/3713\/9203\/7464\/2014_02_10_test_659.pdf\">ACLU<\/a> and <a href=\"\/\/www.prisonersofthecensus.org\/testimony\/NJ-A659-Testimony-PPI-020714.pdf\">PPI<\/a>, the bill was successfully <a href=\"http:\/\/www.njleg.state.nj.us\/2014\/Bills\/A1000\/659_S1.PDF\">reported favorably out of committee<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe next day, Rhode Island&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/webserver.rilin.state.ri.us\/BillText\/BillText13\/SenateText13\/S0147.pdf\">Senate Bill 0147<\/a> was up for discussion before the Rhode Island Senate Committee on Judiciary.
