Campaign for America\u2019s Future presents this award annually to honor an \u201cunsung progressive hero.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Peter was <a href=\"\/news\/2012\/04\/30\/maria-leavey\/\">chosen as a finalist<\/a> for the award in recognition of his leadership in the movement to abolish prison-based gerrymandering.
